Program Overview

Shop Hero provides an SMS notification service on behalf of automotive service businesses (detailing, paint protection film, ceramic coating, window tinting, and related services). When you provide your mobile phone number to a Shop Hero–powered business, you may receive transactional and informational text messages related to your service appointments and vehicle care.

How You Opt In (Consent)

You consent to receive SMS text messages from Shop Hero on behalf of the participating business through any of the following methods:

Online Portal Registration: When you create a customer account at theshophero.app/portal, by checking the SMS consent checkbox and providing your phone number during sign-up.
Online Booking / Quote Request: When you submit a booking request or quick quote form on a Shop Hero–powered business website and provide your phone number. The form includes consent disclosure text before submission.
In-Person / Verbal Consent: When you provide your phone number verbally during vehicle intake at a participating shop. The service advisor records your consent in the Shop Hero platform.

Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You may choose not to receive SMS messages and still receive services.

Types of Messages

Shop Hero sends transactional and informational messages only, including:

Appointment confirmations and scheduling reminders
Job/service status updates (e.g., "Your vehicle is ready for pickup")
Quote and estimate delivery notifications
Invoice and payment reminders
Pickup scheduling confirmations
Warranty and maintenance reminders

We do not send promotional or marketing SMS messages without separate, explicit opt-in consent.

How to Opt Out (STOP)

Text STOP to any Shop Hero message to unsubscribe at any time.

You will receive a single confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out. No additional messages will be sent unless you re-opt-in. You may also opt out by updating your notification preferences in the customer portal or by contacting the service provider directly.

Supported Carriers & Disclaimers

Supported carriers include but are not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Data & Privacy

Your phone number and opt-in data are used solely for the purpose of delivering transactional SMS messages as described above. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. SMS messages are delivered via Twilio, a third-party communications provider.
