TPU vs TPH vs PVC
TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) is the premium category — self-healing, optically clear, stays clear for 10+ years, carries a real warranty. TPH is a budget hybrid — cheaper, often partial self-healing, shorter warranty. PVC is the bottom — yellows within 2 years, no self-healing, almost always sold under generic "clear bra" listings. The top-tier brands
In 2025 the brands that perform consistently in independent testing and on real vehicles are XPEL, SunTek, STEK and 3M Pro Series.
