PPF on Overland Trucks: Raptor, Tundra, 4Runner and Rivian

Overland trucks live a different life than commuter vehicles. The PPF package needs to reflect that. Here's how we approach trail-grade coverage for the most common overland builds in Southern Oregon.

Where the damage actually happens

On a commuter, 95% of paint damage hits the hood, front bumper and mirrors. On an overland truck, damage hits the rockers (rear-tire debris), the wheel arches (front and rear), the rear quarters (brush rash from trail vegetation), the tailgate top edge (loading gear), and the bed rails. The hood still chips, but the proportions shift dramatically.

Our overland coverage package

Full Front PPF (standard), plus full rocker panel coverage from front to rear, plus all four wheel arches, plus rear quarter brush-rash protection on widebody builds. Optional tailgate top-edge and bed-rail PPF for trucks that haul gear constantly. This is significantly more film than a standard install and we price it that way — typically $3,000–$4,500 depending on the truck.

Why brush-rash protection matters

Trail vegetation scratches clear coat in long, ugly lines that show up worst on dark colors. PPF on the rear quarters and door panels absorbs brush contact without marking the paint. Rivian R1S, 4Runner Trailhunter and Bronco Sasquatch owners in particular benefit from this coverage.

Ceramic on top

We ceramic-coat the entire vehicle over the PPF. Trail dust and mud release faster, the truck cleans up at the pressure washer in minutes, and the PPF stays cleaner underneath. Standard on every overland build we wrap.
